This project aims to enhance walkability in government primary school zones within Knox Local Government Area (LGA) using GeoDesign principles to foster healthier, safer, and more sustainable communities. Knox's suburban layout, characterized by low-density housing, car-centric design, and fragmented pedestrian networks, poses significant barriers to students walking to school.

By leveraging GeoDesign, I integrate spatial analysis with stakeholder input to assess and improve key factors: greenery, comfort, traffic safety, and road network. These attributes, mapped via GIS, reveal gaps in infrastructure and social dynamics that deter active transport. Enhancing walkability promotes physical activity, reduces traffic congestion, and addresses equity by ensuring safe access for all students.
